I was asking Papa, why we have to go through all the things we do? Of course, being the wise counselor He is, He asked me a question instead … “Amy, What make a good Sea Captain?” “Hmmmm?” I pondered. He continued, “What makes a great sea captain, is that he is experienced in the ways of the Sea.” Simple answer, yet always profound, I thought.
Think about it…
We are all called to lead, guide, and demonstrate through the area’s we’re called to, in this life. But we must first become experienced at it. God is teaching us and testing us to know all the in’s and outs that come along with it. It’s characteristics, the highs and lows, The pitfalls, blind spots, and hilltops. We have to learn how to survive the shipwrecks and steer clear of the next ones.
Our character is being forged and development inside of us, to handle any storm and be able to manage the responsibility of the crew and call.
Wouldn’t you say this training and preparation is also meant to keep the crew He’s entrusted us with, safe? We are all leaders in one dimension or another because we’re all originals, and with that comes our own personal influence and uniqueness. All meant to represent Him.
Anywayzzz, back to knowing the in’s and outs… Papa continued, “That’s the makings of a great sea captain! You’ll know how to maneuver through the seas and be able to share with your passengers what to expect and what they may experience. You’ll be able to encourage them not to quit, and tell them about the treasured lands of Hope, Truth, and Abundance awaiting them!”
God has been fashioning us all to become great Sea Captains for the boatload of souls that are about ready to come into His Kingdom!! Let’s gear up and steady our course!! Set the sails, stretch out our hands and receive His winds! Button down the hatches friends, For we’re about to hit land, ransack the enemy and bring back the spoils that belong to our God!! Great days are ahead!! We will surely declare, “This journey has been worth it!!!
Big blessings! -Amy <3
