Lately, I keep hearing this phrase playing over and over inside of me, “God just wants to do life with us” like any good parent would. It’s not about all of the works and glory. It’s not about arriving, achieving, and success. Those things always come to an end anyway, don’t they? Isn’t it more about learning, growing, discovering, and beholding? God just wants to do life with us! He wants us to embrace the journey and enjoy the ride…
Think about this. When the Safari is over and the rollercoaster ride ends, then what? It’s done, it’s over, the end, and now a thing of the past! Did you enjoy the ride? Or were you focused on the end? I don’t know about you, but God is constantly trying to get us to enjoy today and live in the moment. Remember the verse, ” My grace is sufficient for you…” 2Cor. 12:9, and My mercies are new every morning… Lamentations 3:22-23
So, Lets set ourselves free from the dangerous pendulum swing, of the PAST or TOMORROW.
Matthew 6:34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
Let’s embrace our grace and mercy for today!
Remember how much you enjoyed eating Oreos as a kid? What was the first thing you did? That’s right! You opened it up, and went for the cream in the middle! Life is like an Oreo, you start in the dark (the womb), live in the light, and end in the dark (6ft. under).
Papa God is wanting us to do life with Him enjoying the cream of the journey. The fun, the wonder, the discovery, and the daring adventures. Let’s discover this amazing Father from every angle, and rest in the fact that it’s not about the beginning or end, it’s about living right here, right now, today, in the sweetness of the middle with Him. Let’s do life with Him! When was the last time you enjoyed an Oreo Cookie with God? 😉
